INDIANAPOLIS — Tens of thousands of fans glistening with sunscreen and toting coolers filled with ice and water descended on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday for what could be the hottest Indianapolis 500 on record.
Fort Wayne scored twice in the eighth inning and held on for a 3-2 victory over Bowling Green in front of 7,304 fans Sunday at Parkview Field.
Lee Orr and Yeison Asencio hit back-to-back home runs for the TinCaps in the second inning.
