Guess who was in the net for the Komets at their informal practice today? Gerry Festa, who was with the team last season, going 6-4-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
Bob Chase will be back calling the Komets' games on radio -- it will be his 60th consecutive season -- and it was announced Tuesday that it will again be on WOWO, 1190 AM.

Ten more players have been added to the Komets training-camp roster, the club said today, bringing the total to 31 players -- 17 forwards, nine defensemen and five goaltenders.

Longtime Komets broadcaster Bob Chase, who is about to call his 60th consecutive season on WOWO, will be honored with the Lester Patrick Trophy during the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame induction celebration in Dallas on Oct. 15.
After three seasons with the Komets, during which he established himself as one of the top defensemen in the AA level of minor-league hockey, Frankie DeAngelis has retired to pursue other career opportunities.
