They were outscored 34-13 the rest of the way to see their season end with a 10-21 record. Turnovers again proved costly. IU had 19 turnovers, which led to 29 Northwestern points.

Verdell Jones III has nine points as Indiana leads Northwestern 30-27 at halftime. Derek Elston has eight points while Christian Watford added seven.

Jones made All-Big Ten honorable mention list by both the media and coaches.Jones had eight games in league play of more than 20 points or more, including a career-high 28 at Northwestern. Overall, Jones is averaging 14.8 points.

Assistant basketball coach Roshown McLeod will not have his contract renewed, the school announced late Sunday. McLeod will no longer be with the team immediately.

Indiana matched a school record with its 11th straight loss, falling to Purdue 74-55 Wednesday. The Hoosiers trailed by double digits most of the game.IU lost 11 in a row in the 1943-44 season. The Hoosiers matched that mark last season. Afterward, Tom Crean mentioned his team's lack of mental and physical toughness. The Hoosiers did out-rebound the Boilermakers, but only attempted five free throws.

Not much went right for Indiana, which trails Purdue 38-25 at halftime in Mackey Arena.

Indiana's Jori Davis earned second-team All-Big Ten honors by the coaches and media Monday. Her teammate Jamie Braun was a third-team pick by the media and made honorable mention by the coaches.Davis is averaging a team-leading 16.8 points. Braun is averaging 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds.

Myron Moriarity has been named the offensive line coach at Indiana. He replaces Bobby Johnson, who took an assistant offensive line coach position with the Buffalo Bills on Feb. 17. Moriarity coached tight ends at Indiana from 2002-04.

Indiana is seeded eighth for the Big Ten women's basketball tournament and faces ninth-seeded Illinois at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The winner faces top-seeded Ohio State at 6 p.m. Friday. Both games will be on the Big Ten Network.

The frustration finally boiled over for Indiana coach Tom Crean, who got ejected in Indiana's 78-46 loss to Wisconsin on Thursday.The Hoosiers lost their ninth in a row. And once again, it wasn't pretty.
