Five injured in early morning crash in Noble County

– Five Noble County people were injured when their vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree early Sunday.

Cody Harroff, 26, and four passengers were in a 2008 Chrysler on County Road 750 West, just north of County Road 500 North near Ligonier when the crash occurred at 2:45 a.m., according to the Noble County Sheriff's Department.

Harroff was pinned in the vehicle with possible head and neck injuries and was airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center, police said.

Of the four passengers - Brandon Watts, 25, and Heather Taylor, 30, both of Ligonier, Kevin Frane, 18, of Kendallville and Anthony Hoover, 31, of Kimmell - three were transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center by EMS, and the other was treated at the scene.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation, according to police.
