1 dead, 2 wounded in shooting at home in Kosciusko County

Kosciusko County Sheriff Department

A Monday night shooting in Kosciusko County has left one man dead, the sheriff's department said.

According to a news release, sheriff's department deputies responded about 6:50 p.m. to a 911 call about a shooting that occurred at 9174 E. Doswell Drive in Cromwell. Deputies arrived and secured the scene, locating two male individuals outside the residence who had serious gunshot wounds.

Deputies entered into the Doswell Drive residence and located a third individual also with a gunshot wound. That personwas confirmed to be deceased by Kosciusko County Coroner Micheal Wilson, the release said.

Syracuse EMS medics immediately transported the remaining two victims to separateFort Wayne hospitals in serious condition.

The Kosciusko County Major Crimes Unit was processing the scene late Monday night. Indiana State Police were also assisting.

Detectives were continuing their investigation, but the sheriff's department said information related to the identity of the individuals was expected to be released today.
