Man found dead in DeKalb field

With no witnesses available, investigators worked throughout Thursday to figure out how a man in DeKalb County was killed in an apparent farm equipment accident.

Police and emergency personnel were called at 3:40 a.m. to a property in the 1800 block of County Road 59, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.

When rescuers arrived, they found a man pinned between a tractor and a metal beam, police said.

The man’s name was not released pending family notification.
