Video leads to molesting charges

A Fort Wayne man was charged Wednesday with two counts of child molesting after he was accused of video recording two young boys and inappropriately touching them.

Alexander Leichliter, 20, of the 7500 block of Cold Springs Boulevard, faces two counts of child molesting for events police believe took place in February.

A teenage sibling of the two boys, who were 5 and 7 years old at the time, found a recording on an electronic device of his young brothers dancing nude and being touched by an adult, which prompted the investigation, a probable cause affidavit said.

Leichliter, who police noted has a developmental disability, first said he was just recording the boys as they wrestled and he couldn’t figure out how to delete the videos, the affidavit said.

He eventually told police he did touch one of the boys, according to the report.

Leichliter was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
