Meth lab leads to 4 arrests

Four people were arrested Tuesday and two young children were taken into state custody after a meth lab was found at a Winona Lake home.

Police went to Fair Lane mobile home park at 1202 Wooster Road and as they searched the mobile home at Lot 63 they could plainly see several paraphernalia items and a one-pot meth lab, according to the Winona Lake Police Department.

Two children, 9 and 10 years old, were at the mobile home and were taken by the Department of Child Services for a medical evaluation, police said.

Two adults in the mobile home, Christy Bodkin and Joseph Werand, were arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance and Bodkin was also charged with neglect of a dependent, police said.

A third adult present, Todd Raney, was arrested on preliminary charges of methamphetamine possession and aiding in the manufacturing of meth, police said.

A fourth adult was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of visiting a common nuisance.
