Arrest made in homicide investigation

A Fort Wayne man has been arrested in connection with the Aug. 8 slaying of a 78-year-old woman in her northwest Fort Wayne mobile home, city police said today.

Zachary Reinders, 23, has been charged with murder, felony murder and robbery, police said in a statement. He was being held in the Allen County Jail without bond.

Police were called to a mobile home in the 5700 block of Le Steele Boulevard after the victim's son, summoned by a relative to check on his mother, found her body on the floor.

The case is being investigated by city police and the county prosecutor's office.
