Lake Erie, Grand Rapids to play at Coliseum

As expected, the American Hockey League?'s Lake Erie Monsters and Grand Rapids Griffins will play an exhibition game at Memorial Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4.

Like the Komets, the Monsters are an affiliate of the NHL'?s Colorado Avalanche. The Griffins are the AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings.

There will be an exclusive presale of tickets for this game for Komets season ticket holders Sept. 2 through 4 at the Coliseum box office and at www.ticketmaster.com.

Seats range from $8 to $15.

The Monsters have never played in Fort Wayne. The Griffins last played at the Coliseum in 1999, when they and the Komets were both members of the IHL.
