Bendix makes $3.2 million upgrade to Huntington plant

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC said today it had made a $3.2 million capital investment at its Huntington plant.

The Bendix Brake Shoe Remanufacturing Center now handles the complete salvage, coining and assembly processes involved in remanufacturing brake shoes for commercial vehicles, and can produce several million annually, the company said in a statement.

The center has assembled more than 1.9 million brake shoes since its opening in 2012, the statement said. It said the 74,000-square-foot facility, a part of the company's larger Huntington operation, employs 65.
