Steuben crash injures Fort Wayne man

A Fort Wayne man was injured early today when a vehicle failed to negotiate a curve near Jimmerson Lake and collided with trees, the Steuben County sheriff's department said.

In a statement, the department said it was called about 3:10 a.m. to an accident on Nevada Mills Road at Jimmerson Lake Lane 350.

Steve Johnston, 47, was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with a head injury, the statement said.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's department. Fremont and Orland police, Angola firefighters and Steuben EMS and communications assisted.
