Man seriously injured after crash in Paulding County

An Antwerp, Ohio, man has been seriously injured after a crash Thursday night in Paulding County, according to a statement from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

John Tuto, 34, was driving an SUV west on County Road 424 at 8 p.m. Thursday near Township Road 43 in Carryall Township when he drove off the right side of the road, the highway patrol's Van Wert post said in a statement.

Tuto then overcorrected and slid off the left side of the road, striking a driveway and flipping his SUV multiple times before it came to a rest on its top, the statement said.

It said he was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne via Samaritan helicopter.

Tuto was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, the statement said.

The crash is still under investigation.
