Bloody scene on LeSteele Boulevard ruled homicide

The death of a woman found inside her mobile home on LeSteele Boulevard Friday has been ruled a homicide, the Allen County Coroner said in a statement.

Diane Woods, 78, of Fort Wayne died of a blunt force injury to the head, and her death is the ninth homicide in Allen County, the coroner's office said.

Woods was found yesterday when her sister couldn’t reach her on the phone, and sent the victim's son to check on her.
