Biker critically injured in crash

A motorcyclist was badly injured after losing control of his motorcycle early Thursday at Crescent Avenue and North Anthony Boulevard.

According to Fort Wayne Police Department Public Information Officer John Chambers, at 12:10 a.m., police were called to the intersection, where witnesses say the motorcycle was making a left turn from Crescent onto Anthony when he lost control and crashed into a steel railing. Chambers said speed may have been a factor in the crash.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said they do not know if alcohol was a factor in the crash or whether the man was wearing a helmet.

The incident is under investigation.
