Turner’s broken-bat single with one out scored Henry Charles from third base as the TinCaps (22-24, 52-63) scored the last nine runs of the game.

The win by the TinCaps put them ahead of the Captains in the race for a playoff spot in the Midwest League’s Eastern Division.

Fernando Perez’s grand slam home run to center field tied the game at 11 in the eighth.

The TinCaps scored four runs in the seventh and eighth.

It was the opener of a four-game series against the Captains (21-24, 48-67).
