'Medical event' led to Monday crash, coroner says

A "significant medical event" led to Monday's three-vehicle crash on West Jefferson Boulevard and Olde Canal Place, the Allen County coroner has ruled after an autopsy.

William Eversole, 89, of Fort Wayne did not die from injuries suffered in the crash, the coroner's office said in a statement.

City police are investigating the crash, the statement said.
