Shooter assists victim after spat

‘Best friend’ causes fracas outside club

The shooter helped the victim early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a local strip club.

According to police reports, when officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Showgirl 1 strip club, 2910 Goshen Road, they found a man down in the parking lot.

Kneeling over him, with his own shirt pressed against a hole in the victim’s chest was the man who shot him, according to statements by witnesses, the victim and the shooter, according to police reports.

When police asked him to do so, he handed over the job of providing pressure to the gunshot wound in the man’s right chest.

No one was arrested, and no names were released in police documents. According to police reports, the wounded man told police his “best friend” shot him and “never shoot him on purpose.”

The man who fired the gun told police he was fighting with the victim and was “getting his head beat in” and that he got his gun and shot his friend, according to police reports.

The man had a bump on his forehead and scrapes on his upper lip and elbow, according to police reports.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to police reports.
