ZZ Top tickets being scalped online, parks department says

ZZ Top tickets for the Oct. 8 concert at Foellinger Theatre are being offered at some online sites for prices much higher than the $49 to $99 the city's parks and recreation department is charging, the department said today.

Several people have unintentionally entered the sites, which often occurs when a buyer performs a Web search for "ZZ Top tickets" or for "Foellinger Theatre," the parks department said in a statement.

It recommends online ticket buyers go to www.fortwayneparks.org and click on "Order Your Tickets Today."

Tickets also may be purchased by calling the department's office at 260-427-6000, by visiting the department's office at 705 E. State Blvd. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or by going to any of the three Wooden Nickel Music stores in Fort Wayne.
