Two men were arrested in Latty, Ohio, on Friday in connection with a one-pot meth lab, Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers said today.
In a statement, Landers said deputies went to a home in the 200 block of Second Street on Friday looking for a wanted person.
While speaking with a man, later identified as Sammie L. Jones, 30, another man was seen walking from a shed with a one-pot meth lab, the statement said.
The second man, identified as Jason C. Kremer, 31, fled from the scene and was arrested after a short chase, Landers said.
He said both men were charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs.
In addition, Landers said, since Kremer's children were present at the time the meth lab was discovered, he also was charged with endangering children.
Paulding firefighters and the Ohio attorney general's office assisted at the scene.
