FORT WAYNE – Skaters representing the Fort Wayne Ice Skating Club performed well at Skate Detroit, an event held July 22-26 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with over 600 competitors.
Sasha Lunin, competing in intermediate men’s, finished first in the short and long programs and first overall.
Austin Hale and Olivia Allen, competing in junior pairs, were second in the long and third in the short.
Nicholas Frantz and Katheria Frantz, competing in intermediate pairs, took second in the short program. In juvenile girls, Frantz was fourth in the short and third in the long.
Elise Wellman, who was in novice ladies Group D, was fifth in the short, seventh in the long and seventh overall.
Meghan Halaburda, competing in novice ladies Group F, was fourth in the short, fifth in the long and fifth overall.
In intermediate men, Nicholas Frantz was sixth in the short program. In pre-preliminary girls Group C, Ashley Szymanski was first and Arisa Hocharoen was third. In Group D, Elizabeth Butz was first.
Emma Stoody was sixth in preliminary girls Group C. Amanda Burton was second in Group D and Delaney Reilley was third in Group E.
