Gunman robs, flees Grabill bank

A bank branch in Grabill was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

About 9 a.m., police learned of an alarm at iAB Financial Bank and arrived to find that a man had just robbed the bank at gunpoint, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s De­part­ment.

Employees told police a man with a black mask and black clothing entered the bank and pointed a handgun at one of the tellers.

The robber demanded money and then ran east across the railroad tracks near the bank, police said.

He then got into a teal or blue compact, two-door car driven by another man.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the sheriff’s de­part­ment at 449-3000 or the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force at 426-5331.
