Broadway lanes to close next week

Lanes on Broadway at West Jefferson Boulevard will be closed Monday through Wednesday next week, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

A northbound lane of Broadway will close Monday for the day on the south side of Jefferson, the city's Traffic Engineering Department said in a statement. Northbound Broadway traffic will be detoured to Taylor Street, Fairfield Avenue and Ewing Street.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Broadway will have lane restrictions on the north side of Jefferson in either the northbound or southbound lanes, the statement said. Traffic is to be maintained by flaggers.

The closures will allow a contractor to install storm sewer lines as a part of the storm sewer separation project in downtown Fort Wayne.
