Voices of Unity win gold, silver in World Choir Games

The Voices of Unity Youth Choir won gold and silver medals at the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia, last week, the choir has announced.

The Fort Wayne-based choir won its gold medal in the Gospel Music competition July 17 and its silver medal in the Pop Music competition July 18, the choir said in a statement.

The choir, made up of 30 youth singers ages 9 to 18, previously competed in the games in 2010 and 2012. This is the fifth gold medal and first silver medal for the group, the statement said.
