NCI Fort Wayne workers eligible for federal assistance

Former employees of NCI Fort Wayne LLC, a subsidiary of Nyloncraft Inc., are certified to receive federal benefits through the Trade Adjustment Assistance program, state officials announced today.

The Labor Department on July 18 issued the ruling that applies to all workers who lost job or hours on or after April 25, 2013, through two years after the date of certification.

The TAA program offers training, education, job search, relocation and income assistance to workers who have lost jobs because of foreign competition. The program's funding is set to expire Dec. 31 unless Congress renews it.

NCI Fort Wayne makes suspension products, surge tanks and brake reservoirs. Former employees should contact the nearest WorkOne office or go to www.workoneworks.com for more information.
