Weber wins PBA50 event in city

Professional Bowling Association Hall of Famer Pete Weber triumphed over Randy Pedersen 259-207 to win his third PBA50 national tournament win in the inaugural PBA50 Pro Bowl West Fort Wayne Classic on Wednesday.

Weber was able to capitalize on a split and miss by Pedersen in the seventh frame to secure the victory.

Weber defeated Wayne Webb 223-210 and Pedersen defeated Johnny Petraglia 207-193 in the single-game semifinal round.

Fort Wayne native Ron Mohr was eliminated by Sam Lantto in best-of-five round of 16, 3-2 (226-201, 245-257, 253-216, 218-259, 247-243).
