Brooklyn Avenue section to close for 3 weeks

Brooklyn Avenue will be closed between Ontario Street and Hale Avenue for about three weeks for a sewer project, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

The closure, beginning Thursday, will allow a contractor to complete a City Utilities Engineering Sewer Separation project in the surrounding area, the city's Traffic Engineering Department said in a statement.

A detour will use Covington Road, Freeman Street and Taylor Street, the statement said.
