New Haven train victim died accidentally, coroner rules

A 66-year-old New Haven man has been identified as the victim of a pedestrian-train crash in New Haven on Sunday night, the Allen County coroner's office said today.

Paul Jude Larson died accidentally from blunt force trauma, the coroner's office ruled after an autopsy.

Larson was struck by the train about 10:30 p.m. at Main and West streets, New Haven police have said.

The incident remains under investigation by the coroner's office and New Haven police.
