1 ejected, dies in single-vehicle crash

A 54-year-old Fort Wayne man died Sunday night when his van crashed at Paulding and Minnich roads, the Allen County coroner's office said today.

George Collins, 54, was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected from the vehicle, the coroner's office said in a statement.

He died accidentally from blunt force trauma, the statement said.

Collins' death is the 11th traffic fatality in Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2014, the coroner's office said. It is under investigation by Allen County police and the coroner's office.
