Head-on Steuben crash badly injures passenger

One person was still in critical condition Wednesday evening after a head-on crash earlier in Steuben County.

About 7 a.m., Sheila A. Redman, 35, of Hudson, was driving on Indiana 4 when she crossed the center line into eastbound traffic for unknown reasons, Indiana State Police said.

Her minivan then slammed head-on into an eastbound car driven by Kalib L. Jackson, 21, of Rome City. Jackson’s passenger, Benjamin H. Murray, 20, of Wawaka, was pinned in the car and suffered internal injuries, police said.

He was listed in critical condition Wednesday evening, according to Parkview Regional Medical Center. Redman and Jackson were listed in fair condition.
