Single-vehicle crash injures driver

A statement issued Thursday morning from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department:

At approximately 09:10 p.m. on July 16, 2014, Anika K. Miller age 30 from Spencerville, IN, was operating her 1998 Dodge Stratus southbound on CR 61 when upon entering a curve overcorrected, skidded across the northbound lane of travel, and continued down an embankment.

The vehicle overturned one time and landed on it’s roof.

Miller suffered from a laceration to her right ear.

She was believed to have been wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.

Miller was transported by DeKalb EMS to DeKalb Health where she was listed in stable condition.
