Suspect charged in lake-home burglaries

A Wolcottville man has been charged in connection with two Rome City burglaries.

Michael S. Jones, 31, of the 100 block of Lovette Street, faces two burglary charges, according to a statement issued Tuesday by Noble County Prosecutor Steven Clouse.

It said that Jones is accused of breaking into a residence on Lakeside Drive on Sylvan Lake on Nov. 13, and another on North Shore Drive on June 29.

He was initially arrested July 1, the statement said. Both cases are set for a pretrial conference Aug. 28.
