Fort Wayne house fire caused by arson

Fort Wayne Fire Department investigators have determined a fire early Sunday that destroyed a house southeast of downtown was intentionally set.

Firefighters were called to 3025 S. Monroe St. at 3:39 a.m.

They found heavy smoke and fire coming from three sides of the two-story building, according to a statement from the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

A search found no occupants, and no injuries were reported, the fire department said.
