Westerfield was found shot to death July 6 on his 47th birthday. Police have a person of interest in custody, but charges haven’t been filed yet and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the person of interest hasn’t been released.

Lake County Sheriff John Buncich has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in Westerfield’s slaying.
