Death at apartment under police probe

Fort Wayne police are investigating the death of a woman found Saturday morning in an apartment.

About 8 a.m. police were called to Regency House Apartments on a report of an unresponsive woman inside one of the apartments, according to police.

Officers and medics arrived to the apartment complex at 2440 Fairfield Ave. and found an adult woman dead.

Detectives were looking for information from residents at the apartment complex.

No further information was released about a possible cause of the woman’s death.

Police did not say it was being investigated as a homicide.
