Man faces counts of solicitation of minor

A Defiance, Ohio, man was arrested Thursday, accused of soliciting sex from a juvenile.

The investigation began in mid-June and ended with the arrest of 40-year-old Phillip D. Mayer on two counts of importuning, or soliciting sex from a minor, according to the Defiance Police Department.

Several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and Black Swamp Electronic Crimes Task Force, were involved in the investigation and arrest.
