Woman's death investigated

Fort Wayne police are investigating the death of a woman found in an apartment Saturday morning, according to a statement from police.

Police responded to reports that a woman was found unresponsive in an apartment at 2440 Fairfield Avenue at 7:56 a.m., and when they arrived, they found her dead.

Detectives were interviewing potential witnesses in the apartment building and collecting evidence, the police statement said.
