The Courtyard welcomes residents, visitors

Cathie Rowand | The Journal Gazette
People gather for an open house Thursday at The Courtyard, 530 Home Ave., an apartment community for young adults who are leaving foster care or who are otherwise at risk of becoming homeless. The initiative eases residents into living successfully on their own. Open-house visitors toured some of its 36 one- and two-bedroom apartments, common areas, conference room, restaurant-style training kitchen, workout room, arts room, laundry rooms and courtyards designed for gardens.
