A Columbia City man was injured this morning when an Indiana Department of Transportation dump truck collided with his car on Indiana 109 in Whitley County, state police said.

John B. Barry, 43, was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne after the 8 a.m. crash with an arm injury, state police at Fort Wayne said in a statement.

Police said the truck, driven by Brian C. Elliott, 28, of Goshen was headed south on Indiana 109 near Eagle Quest Church when he turned into the path of Barry's northbound car.

Elliott, who was not injured, was cited for failing to yield the right of way, police said.
