Verbatim: Dum Dums releases new iPad app

Spangler Candy Co. issued this news release today:

BRYAN, Ohio, July 8, 2014 -– Are you ready to be a Pop Star? Spangler Candy Company, maker of Dum Dums lollipops, announced today the release of "Dum Dums Drums," a new free iPad app that challenges drumming and memory skills. Dum Dums’ famous mascot, the Dum Dums Drum Man, sets the stage and grabs the sticks, challenging players to "repeat the beats" and match his legendary drumming skills by tapping drums and cymbals with their fingers.

The new app starts off with a few simple beats but quickly moves to head spinning riffs that players must repeat to advance to the next level. Realistic 3D animations bring the Drum Man to life and make this game fun to play but difficult to master for aspiring drummers of all ages. The "Dum Dums Drums" app comes behind the success of the hit Dum Dums iPhone app "Flick-A-Pop," which has been downloaded over 1.5 million times.

"Dum Dums have a way of making things fun for all ages," says Mattea St. John, Digital Marketing Manager at Spangler. "The new Dum Dums Drums app is simple enough for the youngest aspiring drummer, but challenging enough to test the memory of rock legends."

The free play option and Game Center access also bring a fun and competitive note to this free app. Dum Dums Drums is available on iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dum-dum drums/id810731479?mt8.
