Standish home badly damaged in fire

Fire caused extensive damage Saturday night to home at 5318 Standish Drive.

Firefighters were called to the home at 8:47 p.m. and had the blaze under control at 9 p.m., the fire department said.

Everyone was out of the home by the time the department arrived. Firefighters found heavy flames in the downstairs front living room.

The blaze caused moderate fire damage and heavy water and smoke damage, the department said.
