‘Famous’ wasn’t so popular


A TV series designed to make a family famous is off the air because viewers weren’t willing to play along.

The CW network said Wednesday that it has canceled “Famous in 12,” well shy of its planned three-month run.

Executive producer Harvey Levin, of TMZ fame, told family members on Tuesday’s episode that not enough people were watching to keep the show going. It debuted June 3.

‘Dance’ prizes

This season’s winner of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” will be crowned “America’s Favorite Dancer,” get a cash prize and something else – a possible Broadway role.

The show announced Wednesday night that among the prizes on Season 11 will be a shot at a small role in this fall’s revival of “On the Town.”
