Kenneth Jones named CEO at St. Joseph

Jones

Lutheran Health Network has named Kenneth Jones the next CEO of St. Joseph Hospital, officials announced today.

Jones is currently CEO of The Orthopedic Hospital, also part of Lutheran’s local network.

The executive’s official starting date at St. Joe is July 28.

Brian Bauer, Lutheran Health Network’s CEO, said Jones is taking over the downtown hospital just as the area is booming with several condo and apartment projects now – or soon to be – under construction.

“Kenneth’s experience as a leader in both hospital and physician practice settings lends itself well to the opportunities he’ll encounter running a facility located in an area that’s expected to receive an influx of new residents in the very near future,” Bauer said in a statement.

“His perspective as an administrator, husband and father of two young children will be important to a growing hospital in a revitalized downtown.”

Jones is replacing Eric Looper, who came to St. Joe in November 2010. Looper recently accepted a CEO position in his native Texas, where he will head the Hill Country Region of Baylor Scott & White Health, which comprises two hospitals.
