Pizza deliveryman robbed at gunpoint

Early Sunday, police were called to a reported armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

According to a police report, the driver for Pizza by Vito’s was making what he thought was a delivery to the 700 block of Home Avenue.

When he arrived at the house, there was a man outside on the porch and said he didn’t have all the money for the delivery, but that his girlfriend would be bringing it down. As the man turned to open the door to the house, the driver saw the door was locked and the house appeared dark. The man turned around and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the driver, robbing him of money and the food, according to the report.

The suspected robber was described as a younger black man, about 6 feet tall, light-skinned, wearing all black and wearing a black rag on his head, according to the report.
