Dennis Miller to headline Chamber event

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is bringing the funny to its 25th Annual Awards Dinner, which will be headlined by comedian, television and radio personality Dennis Miller.

Miller will headline the organization’s annual celebration that recognizes Hoosier business success on Nov. 6 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

A five-time Emmy award winner for the nine-year run of the HBO show “Dennis Miller Live,” Miller is also known for his time behind the “Weekend Update” desk on “Saturday Night Live.” Today, he hosts “The Dennis Miller Show,” a three-hour talk radio program, which airs on more than 250 stations. Miller is an author, actor, former sports correspondent for ABC’s “Monday Night Football” and well-known political commentator.

Sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, the annual event kicks off with a reception at 5 p.m.; the annual awards dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Three prestigious awards – the Business and Government Leaders of the Year, as well as the Community of the Year – will be given during the dinner.

Seating is limited. Tables of 10 are $2,250 for gold seating, $1,650 for silver seating and $1,200 for standard seating. Individual tickets are $120 each. Tickets are available online at www.indianachamber.com/specialevents or by calling 800-824-6885.
