Statement as issued Wednesday morning by the Noble County Sheriff's Department:

On (Wednesday) 6-25-2014 at 3:34 a.m., the Noble County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a three vehicle accident at the intersection of State Road 5 and 900 N in Ligonier, IN.

Upon investigation it was discovered that a 2011 Ford Explorer driven westbound on 900 N by Stephanie Lehman (of Rome City), disregarded a stop sign and struck a northbound 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette driven by Alberto Segovia (of Ligonier) on State Road 5.

The vehicle driven by Albert Segovia was then struck a second time while sitting stationary in the intersection by a 2004 Dodge Van driven southbound on State Road 5 by Ralph Covey Jr (of Topeka).

Albert Segovia and his passenger Felipe Aranda (of Ligonier) were transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center. Ralph Covey Jr was transported to Parkview Noble.

Weather conditions were believed to be a factor in the crash.
