Vacant trailer goes up in flames

A vacant trailer at 247 Country Forest Park went up in flames just after midnight Thursday, taking firefighters 16 minutes to put out.

The trailer is in the Countryside Village mobile home park at 2320 W. Washington Center Road.

According to Fort Wayne Fire Department Battalion Chief Dennis Jines, when crews arrived, they found the back half of the trailer on fire. The trailer was heavily damaged by fire, smoke and water, Jines said.

No injuries occurred while crews fought the fire.

The fire is under investigation.
