Park Forest offers swimming for $10

Park Forest Swim Club, a nonprofit social club, is opening its doors to the public this week to provide the community with a way to cool off.

A special “Heat Amnesty Membership” is available for $10 on a daily basis at the club, 5433 Hewitt Lane.

“We know swim club family memberships can be expensive,” said Angie Branstetter, Park Forest Swim Club president.

“And the public pools can often be crazy crowded, especially on days that reach into the 90s,” she said.

Normally, the club precludes nonmembers unless they're a guest accompanying a member.

The club's website is www. park forestpool.org.
