Covington Road work begins

The westbound lane of Covington Road between Hadley Road and Getz Road will be closed during the day from Wednesday until Friday for construction work, according to a statement from Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department.

Construction workers will be clearing a tree on the north side of Covington near Hadley Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, and city crews will be monitoring eastbound traffic.

There will be a detour for westbound traffic using Getz Road, Indiana 14 and Hadley Road, the statement said.
