Body in tree at school likely suicide

BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Authorities near Cleveland said the body found hanging in a tree outside an elementary school is a likely suicide victim.

Beachwood police said in a news release that the body of a 24-year-old man was found hanging in a tree Wednesday morning at the back of Hilltop Elementary School. Administrators arriving for the second-to-last day of school discovered the scene at about 7 a.m., before students arrived.

A letter to parents from Beachwood Schools Superintendent Richard Markwardt said the death “appears to be a suicide.”

The medical examiner’s office identified him Thursday as Bram Glazer of Beachwood.

Officials said he has no apparent connection to the school or district.

Classes were canceled Wednesday, but students were returning for the last day of school Thursday.
